Tyres really are a personal thing. And most are so good now. If it were my bike I would stay with the mate for the front unless changing both. Then Bridgestone's or metzlers seem to be the chosen tyres. I my self use Avons but I don't have a speed machine any more. How does your tyre feel in corners and twisties if it feels like it going over the edge and harder to straighten up again then it's time to change it. Really makes a big difference. And like I said it shows that the previous owner was a bit wary of the machine or perhaps just motorway miles.
    Regards
    Joe.

Glad to advice and as said before if changing a tyre I would always try to match front and back. But even the tyre you have on there at present will serve a few miles yet if you are not fast riding. Which in this weather with cold road and tyres is best. So when you have the need for speed then stick some new rubber on there. And the wasp just make sure it doesn't sting you
