Hello, My name is Steve I am new to the forum, I come from Nottinghamshire and ride a 1050 tiger 2011 with 6 k on the clock. Very nice bike lovely sound, had it 6 years now. Just come back from France and Belgium and not missed a beat apart from when the weather was very hot I struggled to come out of first and second gear, and also when cruising in top I get a slapping sound from the gear box!!!!!!! Apart from that everything was fine!!!.
Hello guys, Looking for some help and advice. I have a 2011 tiger 1050 with 6 k on the clock, my problem started 18 months ago in that I found it hard at times to come out of first and second gear, also when I was cruising in top gear then slowly dropped the revs there was a slapping/knocking sound which I could feel through my left foot peg. I took the bike to my local triumph dealer, they re set the ECU and re aligned the throttle bodies, the plugs were changed and so was the engine oil, this didn't seem to make it better, sô I took it back and they said that I had some stiff inks in the chain and that I needed a new one with new sprockets so I had those changed as well. However I still have the same problem, has anyone out there suffered the same issues, and how can I stop it. Steve.
