    Hi all

Pick up a black 2014 Thruxton with the louder pipes on Saturday to go alongside my Explorer.

Looking forward to sharing my riding time between the 2 bikes.

Bought an Explorer in 2012 when released and swooped it this year for a new one. Brilliant bit of kit, do Europe every year with some mates.

Just found my self in a position to get the Thruxton as something different, wondered if I would fit one ok as 6ft but tried one alongside Scrambler and ridden Bonneville as loan bikes and found it really comfy so here we are.

Hope to use it a bit before winter closes in.

All joking aside the Tiger 800 XRX or XCX are very fine machines indeed and come with a comprehensive specification. If I hadn't found 'Kitten' second hand I would have bought a Tiger 800 - they are very good and in my opinion better than the somewhat lardy Explorer.

And for those of you who have met me, you'll accept I'm sure that I know about lard ;);)

Welcome to the fold ... I just bought a thruxton, because I took my Daytona 955 for a service and the loan bike was a Thruxton ... Liked it so much, I had to part exchange speed and performance for pure awesomeness

    Hi and welcome in.
Lucky you - my plan is to get another Bonneville/Thruxton next year and then at some point go for a Tiger for touring.
Borrowed a mates Explorer for almost two weeks and loved it.

Easier setting off at 7am to drive 2 hrs on a motorway to Bradford with the trailer than arranging a lift and then sit for 2 hrs riding home in the pouring rain down M62 M60 M6, not want I have in mind for a Thruxton.

Anyway out this morning for a run and love it.

I know where you're coming from, I picked mine up in a transit, it was 200 miles up the m40 m6 and I didn't fancy that ride on a bike I hadn't ridden before let alone not ridden at all for 20 ish years.

Beautiful bike you have there, I would like something similar to go with my Explorer XC.
