Hi all, joining the forum after browsing through the speed triple section today.

Have a few bikes at the moment, including a 675 Daytona.

Selling my 2015 Multistrada 1200 S and deciding between the new Speed triple S / RS or Monster R.

Speed triple is winning I think, great bike and a lot better value than the Duc.

I’m off the the speed triple area to see if there are any S model owners around!

Eyup mate. I'm coming down to Pompey for the weekend at the end of June, to hopefully go onboard the new aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth.

I was on HMS Invincible, the first of the old class, for 3.5 yrs, so I'd like to compare. I know they're a lot bigger now.

    Welcome buddy :)

I never owned a Duc so can't compare. But Speed Triple is a brilliant motor. It's not a top speed like the 1000cc but the sound and torque will make you grin from ear to ear ;). It does things exceptionally well :)

I go to Willingham Woods as well, not been this year yet, though.
Ask your neighbour when he was on the Invince. I'm 60, and was on there from early '81 to August '84. I may know him.

Doesn't ring a bell. Just wondering what branch he was. Did he go down South with us in 82?
