Well hello everyone. My name is Greg and I'm in Michigan USA. I've been a motorcycle rider for most of my life, had a street bike before I had a car. I've had lots of bikes in my 62 years. And now it's time to slow down just a bit and get back to the basics of motorcycling and just enjoy it for what it is. So I have a deposit on a 2023 T120 bonneville. Its an early Christmas present to me! But right now in Michigan on December 23rd its blizzard conditions with a temp of 4 degrees and a wind chill of -19 and blowing snow. So I'm in no hurry to pick the bike up, but im very excited about it!
This is the color I chose.

Welcome from a fellow Yank. Coming off an 800 lb. Victory Touring Cruiser, It's my first Umph, too. 2018 Speedmaster, bought new in 2020. The thing is a hoot. There's a lot of good folks here and a lot of good info. Until to weather breaks, do what I do. Sit on it in the garage and make vroom-vroom noises. Enjoy your Bonnie.

I was born in Detroit 1947, been riding since I was 13, left Detroit after the Army (66-68) out of sheer frustration I used to take my bike out in very sub zero temps as long as I check on road conditions first. Back then there really wasn't much in the way of motorbike clothing but for leather. I spent much of my riding life in Europe and came back to the US to live in Daytona. I have a 1200 Thruxton and that engine is perhaps the best vertical twin I have ever owned. You will be absolutely amazed at what you bought. Congratulations.

Welcome, Greg, from another "Yank". ! I'm a little late to the "welcome wagon" but saw the photos of your beautiful new Bonnie in the thread you posted. I'm originally from Minnesota (Arizona now) so know what you're facing with winter. I hope you'll get at least a few days before spring that you can get out on your new bike. Until then, gaze, drool, polish...and dream of the open road! Looking forward to seeing and hearing more of your new bike.

@Sandi T Yup its cold, rainy and snowey here, the bike is still at the dealer for now. I ordered the heated grips, centerstand, and panier brackets for it. With the weather I'm not sure when I'm going to bring it home. But I've been shopping for accessories while I'm waiting. It'll get a rear rack, windshield and saddle bags, and a few other farkles.

Have fun parts shopping while you wait for the weather to allow you to actually ride your new Bonnie, Greg. I bought my 2020 Street Glide Special when I was coming off healing from a very nasty bicycle crash that involved a broken pelvis and mangled plated and pinned together elbow. I bought it in May and couldn't ride it until the end of September! So in the meantime I drooled over the Harley parts catalog like a kid with the Sears Wish Book (remember that?) and had my bike completely completed before I ever even rode it. Thanks to my hubby for riding it to the service department at our dealership to have all the parts installed and engine upgrade completed after i decided on and purchased all my "goodies"! We make do, don't we? ;):joy: And the silver lining is that we can enjoy the anticipation of finally getting out on the road.

Yup that's what I've been doing, shopping, and watching YouTube videos, lol. Yeah I surely remember the sears cataloge, for me it was all about the tools! I go to the bank this Saturday and then to the dealer to take care of the financial part of it. Bike still won't come home but I'll get to touch it, sit on it, and dream a little. It's very exciting getting a new bike, been 20 years since I bought a brand new bike. I'll be ordering up some more parts for it this week.
