    hey folks

joined here the other day. been looking around. i live in the eastern deciduous woodland of north america, hillbilly appalachia as far as the local culture is concerned. lately we haven't seen anything but snow for much longer than i like.

ive been messing with triumphs for nearly 50 years now. first bike i ever had was 1962 trophy 500 when i was 16. second bike was a 72 bonneviile i bought when i was 21 and still ride. it's ugly and beat up and still goes pretty fast for what it is.

have some other stuff. a commando, two thunderbolts, a victor, and some more recent non-british stuff that i can ride when the brits won't start.

two race bikes as well. one is a 1965 650 bonneville that i 've been runniog for five seasons now looking for 140 mph. only have 4 mph to go, but that's proving hard to find. blew it up two seasons ago and am still playing catch up

working on a 1966 road race machine at the moment, to give me something to do on track bike days around here. it's mostly built from pieces left over from the LSR program

    anyway, pleased to meet you

Greetings from a South Jersey Piney.

Have to agree on the snow. This is the longest that I can ever remember the ground being covered. This year I think we've had more snow than in the last five.

Hate it. if I ever want to see snow (extremely doubtful) I'll but a calendar with pictures of mountains.

Anyhow, nice stable of bikes. Welcome.

that film didn't do old burt monro justice. he didn't get 200 mph the first time. he had to work at it quite a bit harder. but triumph land speed racing machines are all sort of road warrior-looking
