    Hi there all,
can you help. My neutral light on my 1994 Daytona 900 works fine on start up and when the bike is cold, when it warms up it stops illuminating. I have followed the manual to check the operation of the switch (when hot and not working) I disconnected the wire leading to the switch and earthed it - the light comes on !
So that tells me the switch is malfunctioning. I replaced the switch with a new one - guess what ? the same - no light when engine is hot !!!
I noticed when checking the switch by earthing the feed wire, caused a clicking noise under the seat area at the same time as the neutral light came on, which sounds like a relay noise. However I cannot see on the wiring diagram a relay for this neutral light switch.
I have eliminated the switch by changing it. I wonder if the gear selector is worn where the switch contacts it ??

The neutral light issue is common on all T300 models. I believe a common quick fix is a thin washer underneath to shim up the switch

Under side of the gearbox. Follow the wire , it is usually mid box in a deepish recess.
