After previous experience with Kawasaki and I have to say the worst customer service I have ever come across there is no way I would get another one
I had a 2006 636 Ninja that was 1 month out of warranty and the gearbox packed in and Kawasaki UK didn't want to know about it and refused to help. also Portmans Kawasaki in Guildford said that they would be able to fix it but it wouldn't be for at least 10 months after that I managed to get a second hand transmission from a breakers and find someone to install it. the bike had only done 8000 miles and as far as I am concerned it was very poor customer service as Kawasaki would not even look at paying anything towards repairing the bike. I will never have another one in my garage and would strongly advise anyone else to read this and have a very good think before they decided to buy one of these slimy green things. Cheers Steve

Got to say Steve J, you were unlucky, I had a 2002 ZX636, and the only thing mechanical I had to replace in 10 years and 56000miles of all weather riding was the battery. Honestly Hedgehog you can't go wrong with the ZX6r J model or ZX636 A1p. Gives a bit of grunt and stable in wet conditions especially if shod with Metzelers. Really comfortable a well as I travelled between Portsmouth and Plymouth on it for 3 years.
Well they must be a hell of a lot different from the chf1 model as it had the worse suspension on any bike I have had. Or maybe as I went on to a 2009 Fireblade which is one of the best handling sports bike I have ridden that it just was no where near as good. I suppose everyone has different experiences with different makes of bikes but you usually don't go back if you have been bitten once.
