When I traded for my '96, we had to jump start the bike. I put the charger on boost to get it started. When I went to load it on the trailer, I had to jump start it again, even though we had let it run for quite a while. See if you can spot the battery that came with the bike and the one I just bought that is the correct unit for the bike.
