Just a quick try. Again I do accept its not a Triumph. But I got to ask. As you all know I cleared most of my funds and Tracy picked up the rest for me. So if anyone has bits suitable like screen and soft grips and engine protection that you want to let me have on the cheap I would be your bestest friend if not we are still Brothers.
@sprintdave I have a great idea you take all the bets and we will split the proceeds then I can buy the bits instead of sponging of my beloved.
I have a load of brand new bits of a 1200 sportster silencers etc I had loads of trick upgrades fitted on a new bike in 2016 and I have still got the original parts it was bought with , it didn’t make any real difference to the bike, it was still a horrible motorised turd, so I got rid of it after second ride out, but I have still got the parts if you or any Harley guys are interested
@Boxerman Don't think any of your bits would be any good to me. And really I want a screen to start with. I had a riding friend who had the 1200 sportster. Don't know what he did to it but it would easily chase down loads of sports bike plus he was a nutter.
@joe mc donald Glad you're getting out on that Harley, Joe. And from the smile on your face, it looks like you're enjoying it. Good for you!
@Sandi T Yes i do love it. But i love all bikes. I love the freedom the wind the engine and the miles strolling past.
My first bike was a Harley and boy was I proud. Since then I have owned mostly Hondas and sure appreciate a quiet bike.
Well my friends the Harley didn't last to long. As much as i loved it i found it heavy Yes what i said about my last Harley. So its gone and in its place is this little beauty. Two thousand five hundred miles. Loads of extras and pristine.
You change bikes more often than I change my socks @joe mc donald Smart looking Bonnie, hope you gel with it
@Dawsy Promise this is the last one. ( maybe ) No but i had one in 2010 and loved it even used it as a feature in my Son's wedding. I sold it and missed it ever since. This one came along two owners and 2500 miles every accessory Triumph made for it so i just had to have it. It is almost show room. Does have the usual corrosion around the wheel rims but only surface so good to clean and treat. Forgot to also mention it has all the oem parts taken of at new. All i would like now is a comfort seat and and the Triumph aftermarket cans.
@Regit nogara Thanks mate. Like @Dawsy says i do seem to change bikes to often. Going to try and be better. And like Tracy my better half said if i kept all the money i have spent on bikes i could have had a holiday home somewhere in Spain. Alought she doesn't mind and says its my hobby and better than being a drunkard. Just had a thought now every time i want a bike i will just say baby i am going to the pup. And to my credit she hasn't had to help me buy this one like she did with most of my Triumph's so she has saved money. Yes i think i will enjoy it.
@joe mc donald Congrats on the (yet another!) new-to-you bike, Joe! You make my motorcycle turnover rate seem tame in comparison. Thanks for that, BTW. Enjoy that beauty!
@Sandi T Thanks friend. I don't know how you ride that Harley. I was finding my Super Glide extremely difficult especially stopping at lights. I think as it was a custom and i have long legs i could not get them comfortably on the floor quick enough
No good reason to continue to ride a bike that's doesn't feel comfortable or safe, Joe. I'm glad you moved on to something that works better for you. Some days I'm not sure how I ride my Harleys, either. Just kidding (mostly).
