Morning folks, I’ve been looking at buying an Street triple RS. The TFT has been replaced for legit reasons apprantly ( electronic failure of some sort ) but now the TFT screen milage and true milage do not match up. I like the bike but this doesn’t sit right with me, any advice ? Is this concerning or not concerning or just any advice Thanks you saucey lot as your always a brilliant help
It’s private There is some information on the change But at the moment you can see the service stamps, and mot milage now doesn’t match the tft screen
The tft screen has had a history of cracking the screen and quite a few get replaced. If in doubt, give the dealer a (where it was serviced) a call?
So it was fitted at a triumph dealer, and they never set the milage and the current owner didn’t know you could do that. spoke with my local triumph dealer and they told me when they fit them They can set the milage but you can only do it once and that’s it. Just incase it helps anyone out in the future
hmmm, not very good from the dealer then. one of the first things they should have done, should have been on their checklist. poor.
Walk away. There’s loads more choice. I’d rather wait for the right one. You’re questioning it now; what’s it going to be like when you sell/trade it in the future. Any bargaining power off the price now is only lost further down the line.
AndyGuy My street triple had two clocks fitted as they cracked the screens. I checked my bike with the DVLA mot checker. They are great machines but yes get it discounted. Joe.
I hummed and hard that much about it I’ve now bought a different bike I went from a 675r to the 765rs I didn’t actually thing they would be much difference It’s a bloody animal ha ha how wrong I was
