Would anyone have concerns about purchasing a 2013 Thruxton 900 that has done 200 miles/yr to date? It has been serviced annually. Possibly just being paranoid but wanting to avoid any obvious downsides.
No concerns here mate As long as it’s been serviced and the price is right then it should be a good buy Triumph are very much in fashion at the moment and people buy them as an accessory or because of a mid life crisis etc 200mls per year means it won’t of had a hard life So if the price is right buy it and thrash it to death
Depends on what is meant by serviced ? Fluids & filters changed ? or just checked over ? At that age it probably needs tyres replaced and brakes flushed and rebled and new brake pads, standing idle for long periods like this bring their own issues when putting back into service, seals harden and oil leaks appear where there was nothing before, grease in bearings dries etc. You need to be ready to spend money as required to sort things as they come along with a low use bike.
If price is right, go for it. Not many opportunities come along like this. Private or dealer sale? Reason for sale would be good.
Carry out the usual checks. If you have limited mechanical / motorcycle or car expertise, then take someone with you who has. Mechanical issues should not really be an issue. Just check that it hasn't been down the road. Walk round it, look at everything, walk round it again, look at everything & on & on. You'll be amazed at any imperfections (if they exist) that you miss three times over. Good luck

Graeme, if the service book has been stamped or if you can see receipts from a recognised service garage then if the price is right go for it. If you've got the last six digits of the VIN number I can check if any services have been recorded in the Triumph system.
