What do you prefer and what brand? Me I prefer two piece leathers but currently using Alpinestar vented textile while its so hot; not sure I fancy hitting the tarmac at speed in the vented stuff though

I use leathers in summer good weather, and textiles in winter.

Quite fancy having a go at a track day but my leather jacket and trousers do not fully zip together so I guess it's more expense to get full leathers :frown:

Just realised that my favourite brand must be Triumph. I have triumph gloves, leather pants plus a cobra jacket.....
Got a Sidi jacket that I use most of the time....... Think my boots are alpinstars, cant remember....

Didnt realise I was a big advert for Triumph...

All fine and great while you ride a Triumph, I had loads of Ducati stuff including a £400 + Arai helmet; then I got fed up with the Ducati breaking down and bought a Triumph!

Had to get a set for the same reason Rich and it was looking like I might have to consider made to measure when I couldn't find anything to fit - eventually found set of IXS trousers and jacket on the clearance rack at J&S for £150 all in - not a perfect fit - jacket's a bit tight but for that price I'll live with it. If I decide to get more into the track days I'll look at replacing with a made to measure but for now it'll do...

Textile jacket year round(different linings) with leather jeans most of the time.

    Textile trousers if it's cold/wet.

Draggin jeans for when it's hot.

Textile jacket most of the time with a ventilated jacket for the hottest days.

Leather trousers all year with overtrousers in poor weather.

Not sure I will be able to pick up a Bargin set of leathers of the peg being the size I am:frown: Made to measure make a track day quite expesive, perhaps I should join the mrs at her trim and tone class and start eating lettuce leaves.

I just bought the AS2 leather jacket from the triumph factory outlet. Got it for £200 (reduced from £380!), its excellent quality, really nice fit and very comfortable to ride in.

Most of the time I will wear my Bering leather jacket and Draggin Jeans as they are the most comfortable but also have a set of Dainese 2 piece leathers which I have had for about 8 years but they seem to shrink after every winter :frown:
Also have a old set of Hein Gericke textiles but they are about had it.

Just back from 2 weeks in Spain - saw 41deg one day so can see why they ride around in tee shirts and shorts (but not the flip flops!)
Body armour without the jacket and trousers would be a good idea...
