T Too late it has been modified to make it fit for purpose, without modifying it would have failed an MoT, due to leaking gas. Just giving you guys a "heads up" to our bad experience with the product. Others may fare better?????
Shame you didn’t send it back really, from what you say about the quality it’ll probably fail the next mot cos it’ll be full of holes!
His choice Crispey! He could bought an Arrow for £290 at the same time I did on eBay, but chose the TeC at £60 cheaper (Scottish blood), False economy. Arrow a recognized brand, TeC an internet company with not very efficient quality control for its products. No brainer mate as far as I am concerned. As for not a good mate, well he has zero manual dexterity skills. I've spent the best part of a day hand holding, when I really should be out earning a living Trouble is once you have taken off the original OEM exhaust, fitted the TeC, you are somewhat committed to making the PoS work!..... Hence the modification! Anyway he is happy, TBH does sound OK, just looks s**t! Thanks for everyone's input anyway!
George at tec is good to deal with as I had issues with a shock that collapsed!! He sent me a replacement on the dot. As for quality.................
My mate took his bonnie with the wannabe "Arrow" exhaust out for a run today.... Yippee no leaks! Unfortunately he his suffering from severe Arrow Envy. So I fitted this for him. V V V V V V V
Sounds like you did get a bad one which I'd hope they would have replaced. I've got a TEC Tracker, finish is fine for the price, fit was perfect, better than the Arrows slip-ons on my Ducati. I once had a Mivv slip on for my 955 that was atrocious, blowing new leaks every month, Mivv wanted nothing to do with me and I would never buy another.
I bought a second hand Street Twin 900 (EC1) this has a Tec exhaust 2in1 and blows really badly on all 3 joints and not just a little. I can't see jointing compand fixing this fortunatly I have the original exhaust also (bar the clamps) so will be puting that back on.
