I recently bought a 2015 tiger 800 xcx. I am getting close to the 12k mark now. So i am starting to get everything together to do that service. I noticed recently that this drain plug is leaking. I am assuming the packing behind the plug has failed. Obviously i want to get that replaced during that 12k service time. I can't tell if that item is included in the 12k service pack. Does anyone know? If it isn't included does anyone know where i can get one? Thanks.

Is it loose? Won’t matter anyway you should get a crush washer with your new filter, which you’ll be changing I guess
If it's copper just anneal it ! Heat until cherry red let it cool naturally in air , then repeat and quench in oil or water ! Job done re use
Personally, i always change drain plug washers (copper ones) with every oil change. The cost of them is nothing compared to refitting a used one knowing that if it leaks you have to do the whole job again just for a washer.
As mentioned by Dilwyn this isn't your drain plug. I can see there is a trace of oil at the bottom of the plug ... but are you positively sure the oil is coming out of there and not coming back from somewhere further forwards? It does look oily/dirty in front on the engine casing. May I suggest (unless you have done this already) that you meticulously clean the area around the plug and further forwards and then run the engine with the bike stationary. That way you can check where the oil is actually coming from and not where it resting. Good luck.
