I was in traffic with a guy on a Tiger 900 GT Pro. He had a set of mirrors that had blind spot warning lights in them. I couldn't get close enough to talk to him. Triumph so far has not been of help. Does anyone have any information about these? I'll take all the help I can get.
The radar works when a vehicle is in blind spot or near vicinity. When you overtake - it flashes nearside until clear of whatever you have overtaken - so if they speed up the flashing will be constant. If a vehicle creeps up on the offside - the mirror will flash to alert you. I had a Tesla creep up and he was looking at bike. Making no noise - being electric - it proved a useful tool
I have this in my truck. I was surprised to see it on a bike. The point of my question is to find out if it is available to the public now.
Two that I'm aware of are "stick-ons" to your mirrors or mirror areas (depending on your bike). https://www.blindspotmonitor.com/product/motorcycle-blind-spot-detection-system/ For this one, check the mirror version, not the watch face version https://innovv.co.uk/shop/motorcycle-radar-system/motorcycle-radar/ Haven't seen any aftermarket mirrors with them built-in yet.
