Anyone tried fitting a K&N air filter? Any good? What bike? I'd be interested in your experiences...especially if you have pics.

We're just starting a test (using a ZZR1400) on Bigbikemad...

I can remember fitting one of these to an FS1E back in 1978!

They are good as they do help the bike breath a lot better but if you add iridium plugs and exhaust as well as map or set up the carbs then you can really tell the difference.

I had one on my ZX636, which I bought from new, the OEM filter was arse after a few thousand miles, can't fault them. Really easy to fit, especially for amateur mechanics. Get the K&N cleaning kit as well.

Well, so far so good. Bit crisper throttle response and less lumpiness low down (nasty that, must see the doctor).

Will update review with fuel consumption and other data.

Thanks for the input - all welcome:biggrin:
