Just been reading a post by @johne Who quite rightly said we all moan when our bike has a fault or flaw. No one praises their machines. Can we all start a new topic to say how happy we are with our machines. I start with i just bought a Bonneville 900 scrambler a couple of months. Now can't get enough of it. I love it. It is so nimble and handles well and is easy to manoeuvre. Wish i had got one years ago. Scrambler 2.jpg

@ajc400 No that's exactly what i meant. People telling us all the nicer side of our machines and service from dealers and that caring for us. Very valid Suggestion and glad you are happy with your machine.

Absolutely loved my last bike 1050 Speed Triple RS. Reluctantly had to part with it due to my age and onset of arthritis. Now got a 2025 Speed Twin 900 and loving it. It's comfortable, has a nice low bench seat, does over 70 miles to the gallon, handles well, plenty fast enough for safe overtakes and for once I can access the spark plugs without dismantling half the bike.

Thanks Joe. As far as I am concerned once I have to give up riding it's the beginning of the end. Long may it continue.

Seeing as this is a Triumph forum I will just say that my Street Triple is the absolute bee's knees (in case no one had guessed how I felt o_O). It is so light, handles sublimely and eats up twisty roads, will potter slowly through town or deliver screaming, howling speed (how I love the noise :p of that induction howl). It will happily tour through Spain and Portugal or take me camping. I have had it for four years now and still love it more every time I ride it :).

I went from two speed triples, that I absolutely adored,to a Gt pro, haven't regretted it for one minute. If my aches and pains hadn't started affecting my enjoyment I would still have a speed triple in the garage.

As mentioned in my Newbie post, I went from 2 strokes, had a fairly long lay off from bikes, then bought a YZF 600R, which I still have.
On Friday I picked up my Speed Triple 94 and I love it. No more to say other than, I could sit and look at it all day and be happy.

My Triumph America is fantastic and probably the best bike I have ever had. I put it on a sidecar as due to my age riding a solo is too dificult. Now I just need to hang and smile. It pulls the sidecar (could probably pull two) and takes me back to my youth. Enough said.

    Hi @joe mc donald
Brilliant idea for a thread. been meaning to reply since it started.
I love my Street Cup. It does everything I want and like for many of us, I have lightly modified it to match my taste.

    ford crop.jpg

I find it a shame that Triumph lost their nerve on this bike; it was intended to be a café racer version of the T100 to give a less potent alternative to the Thruxton, but they decided to make it part of the Street range of Bonnevilles and dropped it a couple of years after launch to protect the Thruxton, never receiving the higher power 900 engine of the later street and speed 900s. I have the TEC derestrict cam and its brilliant.

For someone like me who loves the style (but is now aware of his 60+yrs fragility rather than his 20+yr old invincibility) it's just right. Its nimble and torquey and confidence inspiring.

I'm 6ft 2in and by modern standards big for the bike, but I was 6-2 on a Suzuki GT250 X7 and I didn't find that cramped. Ironic that there is now going to be a Thruxton 400, which for me I think "what's the point?"

I smile every time I open the garage:cool:

Nice one Joe, my STRS is my go to bike these days, as Mrs V says, they are agile, quick and great fun to ride. closely followed by the Tuono which is a bit of a beast, but I love it.
