Hi Guys I'm Newbie restoration Mike I came back to biking when a mate passed on & I bought his 1100 Virago which I had for about 8 years , but always wanted a Triumph (had a Tiger Cub in my teens.) Saw a Triumph Adventure with only 4000 miles on the clock in great condition so the Yammy had to go , then my mate gave me his Uncle's 1948 Speed Twin which had been in an old leaking shed for 50 years hence my road to restoring , It's in the final stages , eng. back in gearbox was in bits ready for assembling , had a bit of a set back I ended up being one of those guys you read about but think it couldn't happen to you had double Covid ,Flu jab had a reaction 3days later I was in an induced coma for 2 weeks & a stay in Hospital for 6 weeks and so at 75 the gearbox is a bit of a struggle , although its not to complicated just struggling to get cam plate lined up its supposed to be therapeutic Ho, Ho sorry if its a bit drawn out , cheers Mike
