So intermittently my 2019 speed triple rs will not start. For example today I rode ~25 miles to the gas station and now I'm stranded at the pump. It started fine when I left my house and now when I power on the fuel pump primes and I can get about 1/2 of a crank before the screen guess blank and no power. I've been riding the bike regularly all summer with no issue until today... When I'm supposed to go on a 200 mile ride with my buddies... I'll be getting a new battery in the spring, any suggestions besides a new battery?

    On/off rhs switch gear?
Does the screen shut down as normal or simply cut out?

I've tried switching the on/off switch with no different results. The screen goes straight from speedo to black and when I release the starter the speedo will come back. I've also tried starting in N as well as in gear.

    Sounds like cabling issue?
I know the clamp on the rhs of the headstock pulls the cables quite tight.
    Try taking that off?
I have the same bike and did that too (mine was a cutting out problem with the engine and hasn’t returned after doing that)

Well I had my wife being jumpers and it started right up. Just got home, shut the bike off and it starts like a champ. I guess it just didn't want to go for a ride today... I'm still buying a new battery

Had a similar problem on a Street Triple. I sprayed inside the starter switch with electrical contact spray and it cured it for a period of about three months.

Well just tested the battery. 12.5v with everything off, 12.0v with power on and 11.6v cranking. And charging at 13.2 at idle. I'm guessing my battery has been borderline shit for the summer and it just wasn't happy at the gas station.

I purchased a lithium one for mine and the weight difference is amazing. Definitely recommended.

Looks like you found the issue then, battery is toast, those figures are way too low.

I have the battery tender on it now and I'll check the numbers after a full charge.

Anyone have thoughts on AGM batteries?

Bummer that is. Yes the battery seems to be the culprit. Also before you go make sure all the kill switch gear it clean and working right.
