My triumph tt600 started fine but the tickover when warm was quite high.
Also the throttle was sticking which made for a jerky ride.
I stripped the bike and noticed the sticking was due to the butterflies shutting to far in the throttle bodies and sticking.
So i adjusted them so the sticking was just about stopped.
The trouble is tickover was even higher like this 4000 rpm!!
The only thing i could do was block off the idle pipe so the bike now ticks over ok except when its cold it keeps stalling!
Can someone help me to figure out whats happening with the idle valve??

Hi Sound like the idle control valve is stuck or broken, or check the pipes to see if any small holes which are taking in air. Remove the valve and see if its ok. i read in another post about a guy with kinda same prob. he had a trip to the local dealer and a new control valve hope this helps.

    Hi
I have the same sort of problem . When I shut off from mid range the motor wants to die .. then picks back up to 1,000 rpm .
Trued to look for an idle valve . Can’t seem to find one ?
