Having found the OBD port plugged in to a retaining lug between the battery and the fuel tank, I'm intrigued what two other electrical plugs are beneath the seat of my Thruxton 1200 R? The first is in my hand in the photo below but normally hangs down beside the air intake snorkel, appears to have jumper wires, and is wrapped in brittle plastic. The other is white, and clipped to the frame cross-member. I'm guessing the former might be for an accessory such as the factory alarm which my bike doesn't have, but have no idea at all on the latter.
Sorry the white plug next to the battery, when I had issues with my 675 “same plug” it diagnosed the throttle position sensor was misreading at Tony Scott’s
Thanks, Glyn, but I don't follow with certainty what you mean about the white plug. The diagnostic plug for reading stored codes and flashing software is what I called the OBD port and is the shiny plug just visible at the edge of the photo to the left of the battery.
The plug next to the battery which looks redundant, on the 675 a couple of the sockets of the six were blanked. on the dyno it was connected directly to the Triumph software that diagnosed my that my throttle position sensor was only reading 67 percent open then fault was rectified and no more misfires.
