Hi guys I am just wondering if I pull the stepper motor apart clean and lube it.once it's all reassembled does it self adjust or?
I'm not sure but assuming you have removed the battery from the bike, there will be no power to change it's setting upon removal. If this is to do with your tickover problems ie 1700 in neutral and lower in gear then here's a couple of points: 1. On a fully warmed engine the tickover in neutral should be 1200rpm +or- 50. When setting the tickover speed, always do it in neutral, forget all about tickover when in gear and the clutch engaged. if you have TuneECU and a cable it is possible (apparently, not speaking from personal experience here) to reset the IACV.
