Greetings from sunny South Africa! I'm new to this forum, but not to Triumph. I am currently doing some serious repairs to my 2012 Explorer that I managed to not quite bin after hitting a step-up to a bridge on a dirt road a few years ago. I plan to personalise it a bit, now that the Covid-19 lockdown has forced me to spend some time at home. I recently moved to the Mpumalanga province (biking heaven), after spending quite a few years in the Johannesburg area in Gauteng province. I do some work as a motorcycle tour guide and have been fortunate to see Africa way north of our borders, as well as stunning Iceland and a south-eastern portion of Australia and Tasmania. Once we have had enough of the Covid-19 lockdown etc, come visit South Africa. Not only do we have stunning paved roads and mountain passes, we also have a choice of from dirt-road highways to really gnarly stuff. No other country offers the value for money that mine does. Kindest regards Réhann Coetzee
Howzit Rehann, and welcome in Is Coetzee a common surname out your way? I only ask as I was working with someone else of that name recently Edit: Cancel that his name was Coetzer
Hi there Coetzee and Coetzer aren't exactly rare as surnames go. Way, way waaaaay back in history, these names are related.
Hi Rehann, Welcome to the forum. I spent a month in South Africa in the mid 80's in Randburg just after Apartheid had ended. .For the amount of time I was there, I got to Pretoria, Swaziland, Krugar National park, Bloomfontain, and Sun city. Beautiful country. I'd love to revisit it one day.
Well, you would be glad to know that your money now goes even further against ours (Rand)! No time like the present! Okay, after the Covid lockdown then. I lived in Randburg for quite some time and I now live 38 miles from the Kruger National Park.
Howzit my broer!!. I am a SAffer, living in the UK. Originally from the Joeys area. Can definitely vouch for the fantastic scenery, sunshine and value for money
Every couple of years. Were supposed to go to Portugal next month, but that is not happening, so planning a December holiday in the sun if every thing is normal by then. Probably have a couple of days on the Highveld and then down to Ballito area.
It has. It had been dribbling downwards for quite a while, but when the Covid-19 drama struck, it just crashed.
Rehann Welcome to the family. Great place but i will give it a miss for a few years yet. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show the inmates the steed and scenery. Regards & Ride Safe. Joe.
