Hello everyone, thought I would poke my head in and say hello!, I have just purchased a Speedtriple R, after getting rid of my BMW S1000RR, its a massive change for me but loved the engine and never had a triple before thought I'd give it a whirl!

    Thanks

    Phil

Hi base, welcome in, congrats on your purchase. Someone will ask for pics as we like those. And don't be put off by HT's sense of humour, it's only a softener, there will be worse to come!

Hey Phil, welcome. I don't suppose anyone has thought to mention it, cuz we are generally a somewhat reserved bunch, but we are rather partial to pics.

Thanks for the welcome everyone, I will post a picture of the new nail at the weekend :), it was a toss up between a speed triiple or new Ducati monster, I've had a monster (although it was a s4 916 engine), but the engine was a real peach. I'm going to miss the Beemer but for the roads I personally like (B roads) I think the triple will just hit the spot.

Welcome Base. Presumably if you're going to miss her you got lucky with one of the reliable ones. Great replacement.

    Welcome buddy :)

Speed Triple is completely a different animal compared to the inline 4s. I rode litre sports bike 15 years. Test rode the Speed Triple and BAAM....I was hooked. Sold my fully modified GSXR 1000 K6 and bought a Speed Triple 2011. Now I am in the process of modding her to my taste ;-)
