How Thick ??

Rode my '06 T100 today for a short 20mile spin, when I arrived I noticed that on idle, my oil light flickering on, rev it a bit and out it goes... Plus I could feel the bike was vibrating a bit.

The weather is crazy hot today and I'm guessing the oil has thinned out (as there's plenty of oil in the bike)

So, what's the thickest oil I can use in the bike ??

I don't ride in the winter (I know, fair weather biker)

Yes, MOTUL 5000 10/40 semi...

 

Could be a faulty sender I had the same on a 1999 Speed years ago and changed the sender which sorted it and DD is right don't run fully synthetic

 

Is there a way I can test the switch?

 

Hmm think i've solved it, I washed the bike and Ithink water has got inside the boot on the switch... I've blasted it with some air, so I hope it's sorted...
I'll find out tomorrow on the way to work....
