Apparently AJS is still a British company, which oversees Chinese production. Copied this from the internet : "AJS Motorcycles Ltd. is headed by Nick Brown (eldest son of Fluff Brown) and is a family run business. Since 2002 AJS has distributed a range of 124 cc to 300 cc Chinese-produced road bikes in trail, roadster and custom cruiser styles. Their main market is Learner Legal 125's. The business also sells Stormer/Villiers Starmaker spares and Classic competition accessories."

Also Frances Barnett back on the market, alas Chinese manufactured! Having said that I had a new Sukida 125 twist-n-go sent up to Shetland, in 06, I used to race the Avro 100's (BAE 146) down the run way/parellel road, thrashed the nuts off it on the hills, brought it back off the isles to Livingston and it still survived a couple of years under new ownership! There's also a Bonneville looking thing available from John Parker Motorcycles in Southend with a Honda 400 twin copy engine!
Over here in France, kids as young as 14 can ride 50cc bikes, the difference is that they look like mini R1's.!!!!!! And at 16 they can have a 125.
