Hi all, Just bought a 2013 Honda CB1100 to cruise around the New Forest and general South West (the T120 is staying in London). One thing about insurance - it's got an Arrow end-can and this apparently makes 40 quid difference in the premium ! I know the noise is a little better, but 40 quids worth ? Cheers Chris
Your insurance are being greedy as if it’s road legal and only silencer should be no more extra, next time ur renewal is due use MCN compare or similar and ask what’s on list of allowed mods.
I wanted another bike I could just jump on, no frills, no gadgets or electronics had it been released a couple of years ago I would of been on the lookout for a second hand Trident (the 2021 model) but a bit too early for that. I also fancied a T120, that shiny Diamond Edition out last year, none about and maybe still a bit premium. Ended up with this beauty. Sits in my garage flanked by the Tiger and Daytona. This CB1100EX is the real pussycat with a mere 89HP. It's a very relaxed sort of bike for a chilled day out. 1140cc air-cooled. 2018 model.
Nice but the original cb1000 big one is for some reason came on the radar, but they are starting to show strong money and will keep rising imho
I have a 1995 Daytona 1200 that keeps me busy enough keeping it on the road, carb banks off three times in the last 12 months, I'll stick with the 2018 CB for now, I don't want another older bike. But the Big One was a looker..
I just sold my 2013 cb1100 to buy my new 2020 speedmaster for ergonomic reasons. The cb is a well engineered machine. I just wish these old bones were able to ride it anymore. I had it for 5 trouble free years .
Yes I looked on web at a few Big Ones and the few tidy stockers are going up in value, good investment potential like the Zrx1100 I sold 2 year ago Big Mistake prices are crazy now
