I went and bought a jacket at J&S and asked for a discount, they said F off but you can have one of these for free!!
The good thing about it is , as it's zipped, you can take it and your jacket off at the same time, extra bit of wind proofing in the winter to

How many police riders get wiped out? Lots is the answer. Speak to any police motorcyclist and they will tell you, no matter how much hiviz and blue lights they have, drivers still pull out on them!!!

A pal of mine rode an ex police pan, white helmet, hiviz full jacket, still pulled out on him!!!

But as DD says, if it keeps the missus happy, just do it (and take it off at the end of your road ;)).

You might as well start wearing dayglo pink for all the good it will do.
If the stupid ..... <- insert insult of your choice here don't see police/abulance/fire brigade vehicles.
THERE is nothing on this earth that will make them see you on a bike till they get off their phones/tablets/computers and stop eating their breakfast/doing their hair makeup etc.
