    Hi to all
    Newbie to the forum and just a brief introduction.
    Live in Northern France and have not had a bike for 4 yrs. Always had bikes from the age of 18 but mainly sports bikes, although my last was a street triple. Anyhow thought i would get back into it with something that will not allow me to get into any trouble, so just purchased a 2009 America fully loaded and only 6000km on the clock. I rode it back 250 miles from where i purchased it and really enjoyed the relaxed riding position. Spent the next 3 datys cleaning which is something i will be doing more so than riding, but hey thats part of the fun
    look forward to delving into the forum and learning lots .
    kind regards to all

    Welcome in Paul, the way to get past more time spent cleaning than riding is to go out on longer rides! ;-}

    You're a good bloke Pete :D.

    I know I've said it before but it's worth saying it again, the lads that I met from this forum on my recent trip to "the old country" are some of the very nicest I've met in a very long time. I feel privileged to have met you all. Honestly.

    Hi and welcome Paul. I found the best way to not spend too long cleaning the Bonnie was to buy a Trident for use in wet weather - easy clean, no chrome!

    hiya , welcome to the forum , got an 08 yank & love it , their not too hard to keep clean really tbh , I find the wheels are the most time consuming but my last bike had white wheels & they were worse . Its pretty easy to maintain , very reliable , very economical & lots of fun .
