First Triumph i have bought, had many bikes over years. Took the plunge ordered CRK Kit and a runniing but rattly Triumph Trophy as a base, been stood for 9 years, got started, alternator rattle so start to examine this weekend.

Going to get the engine running ok first before taking out of the frame and beginning the big stripping and powder coating job !!

Ordered some brand new fork legs and got set 3 spoke wheels, kit wont arrive until early December, although am sure plenty to keep me busy and lots of questions will need help with :)

Hi chap, welcome in. Sounds like a fun job you have there, just like my Norton project.

    Hi there.

Thanks for all the welcome messages. My instruction manual arrived from CRK Yesterday, started reading through looks very comprehensive. Started pulling some of the un-wanted bits off the bike, waiting for my hydraulic bench to turn up;-) Need to sort alternator rattle out first and get engine running before pulling the rest apart. Have been looking at possibly converting to 6 speed while the engine is out, understand not to complicated, has anyone else done this.

Attached a photo of bike before started pulling apart, forks are the wrong ones bike sits too high i think.

Will keep posting updates as it moves along intend keeping full photo log of project.

The bike in background is my other toy, had good run out this morning :)
