    Hi all,

So I have a 2000 Daytona 955i and am about to do my first oil change. I have 1 friend who recommends semi synthetic and another recommends synthetic. The owners manual says you can use either. Any preferences or recommendations out there please?

    Thanks

    Ady

Hi Ady, great bike you have,i had one the same and used to put Semi-synthetic in it,and i used to change the oil every 3k (about 3-4 times a year) which was probably overkill..but she deserved it;) but if you can afford fully synthetic you shouldn't need to change so often

Welcome Andy. I used to own a 2003 Daytona 955i. As above I used good quality semi synthetic (Motul) and never had any problems using the same. All the best buddy

The biggest single, supposed advantage of fully synth over semi synth is the longer change interval. However I don't like to leave any oil in an engine too long so I would go semi and change more often.
