    I have a 06 triumph 675 will not get initial crank I have to use starting fluid to start the bike and after started will ride all day as long as I don’t shut it off or kill it, new spark plugs, new battery put a new fuel pump in it, cleaned injectors and rail, checked crank sensor and I’m at about 200 resistance any help please I am a car mechanic just lost on this one

    Bike cranks over just fine and I shoot starting fluid in front under headlights and then it starts

    Had no fuel when received so all fuel is new

    Won’t let me upload video but
    Yep runs fine rode it for an hour didn’t shut off when I got home turned off and tried to restart and just cranks

    It sounds fuel related to me,when you’ve had the tank off did you make sure the fuel pipes from the bottom of the tank are not kinked as it’s easy done, Also the same with breather pipes,the breather pipes come out near the swinging arm were you can give them a gentle pull to take the kinks out.

    Well there’s 3 pipes coming out from the bottom of tank my main fuel line and then there’s 2 like overflow hoses are u talking about those?

    If it was then surely it wouldn't run fine "all day long" once started :cool::cool:

    Yea it’s just the first initial start but every start hot or cold starts

    Exactly yea idk what’s going on with it but when it starts all the way I can ride all day but can’t turn it off

    If the fuel pipes were kinked then initially getting fuel through could be the problem, once the engine has started with help it may then be able to pull fuel through, I try to eliminate the simple easy things first.

    yes , my mates street triple wouldn’t start after having the tank off and he’d managed to kink the pipes badly.

    You can pull the breather pipes down from below the swinging arm , just look under the bike , I would check the fuel pipes first, if no one has the answer on this forum try 675 forum as it’s dedicated to the 675, good luck.
