That is a pre unit 650 Triumph Trophy. (Think Steve McQueen in the great escape for example. The Fonz had a 500cc version). A good one is worth 7500+. That one ought to fetch 1500 up as a restoration project subject to whether all of the original parts are there and condition of said parts. Corrosion is the enemy.
Your dog knows a bargain. That fuel tank could fetch 300+ on its own if its genuine and in sound condition.
I would like to see you sell it off preferably as a project, or failing that in parts, to members of the triumph owners club?
I hope you can find a genuine enthusiast to get it up and running again.

Might be worth your while restoring it if you know your way around doing that sort of thing

Nice pre-unit TR6. Will make a decent project methinks, though much needs to be done. Most of it seems to be there, though a seat would be handy!
I hope someone hereabouts can get it and sort it out. I like a nice story - preferably with pictures and a happy ending!:)

Remember to check how many owners if you can find the selling dealer and any history you might lay your hands on all add to the selling price or decrease it.
    Regards
    Joe.
