The price tag as usual with Arai is steepish at £430-£490 but I just dont think you can beat Arai for quality!

I've had Arais for years. The fit is brilliant but they're fucking noisy! I hate wearing earplugs as I feel too insular. I don't know how people can listen to music when they're riding.

same Bry - love my Arais, hate earplugs. The only music I want to hear comes from the exhaust :upyeah::biggrin:

I was set one getting an arai, good fit etc but the shoei just seemed much more comfortable for my fat head.

They reckon you've either got a Shoei or an Arai head - apparently the sizes given by both manufacturers are about half a size different from each other!

Arai vary continent to continent too apparently to suit differing head shapes

Both Arai & Shoei fit me. Size large... Do prefer Shoei though no side pods...& easier visor changing... Otherwise there pretty much the same.. Both good vents, light and dam expensive......

The new Shoei GT Air is something else though... Very nice. Don't think Arai have anything to match it...IMO

I use Shoei as they seem to fit my head, my helmet at present is a GT Air which you would swear was made for my blade.[IMG]

You guys are so unfortunate to have heads that are worth protecting as decent branded helmets aint cheap .

However im lucky enough to have an empty head so any make of helmet will do for me, in reality i could probably get away with wrapping my head in polythene just to keep the rain off
