Your bike is in great nick but I have to tell you it isn't a 'standard' Trident - it's either a Trident with Speed Triple/Daytona side panels (and a Speed Triple/Daytona seat cowl) or a Speed Triple/Daytona with a Trident fuel tank. It's more likely the former as the wheels and brakes are Trident. It's also got a handlebar conversion - a Trident would have short, individual bars clamped to the top yoke, while a Speed and Daytona would have "clip on" style bars on the stanchions. Looking at the headlamps in your second photo., however, might suggest that it's a Daytona that's had some of its clothes removed! Only a vin check with Triumph (or, perhaps TOMCC?) will reveal its true identity.

These engines do tend to sound a bit agricultural but shouldn't be too noisy - you might want to have the valve shims checked if they haven't been done for a while. Yours will be a bit noisier than most because of the open air filter and non-standard exhaust.
A good source of parts - and information - is SPRINT MFG. depending on your actual location they're probably a nice ride away from you here ......

No matter what it was originally, it's still a T300 so it will have bags of character and should be a really nice ride. Enjoy.

He hasn't got it anymore! After the DGR it never ran properly so he claimed that they took it back to fix it. I've never seen it since!

It's a Trident with Daytona panels and seat hump. The lights are fitted to a large chrome frame, that probably had a fairing attached to it once
