Howdy, new to the forum, found it while searching bar end insert removal (which I still can't do!) and thought I'd sign up and say hello.
    Currently riding a 2000 FZS600 for work/winter and a 2017 Striple 765r for fun/summer.
Not sure if noobs can post pictures but if so, it'll be posted below :)
She looks a little different now having done some bits and bobs just earlier today, no good pictures yet.
Bar end mirrors added, more rim tape, full spit and shine, tank pad and I am experimenting with pinstripers tape to break up the black a little bit, I am unsure how I feel about it so far, but hopefully it grows on me and I might do all the panels.

Welcome to a terrific forum, OHO! Those are great photos of your Street Triple, particularly the 2nd one. Poster-worthy for sure!

Hello and welcome. Nice pics of the bike. If I remember correctly the bar end insert is just pressed in, not welded or held by any other method. A pal of mine removed his right side one on his Speed triple in order to fit one of those throttle lock devices and I think all he did was heat up the bar end and pulled the insert out with a long screw of the correct thread. I’ll see if I can confirm that with him and come back if he did anything different.

Just checked and there is some kind of PTFE thread lock holding the insert in. He used a heat gun to soften the thread lock and it came out easy.

    Thanks for all the welcomes.

Re; poster picture, thanks very much, that's quite the compliment :)

Re; inserts, I tried putting a bolt in and pulling it out but it wasn't budging so I didn't try and force it.
Thanks for the tip on heating it up, I will have to give that a try :)

Welcome to the family. Real cool steed there. The inmates here do like black one of the favourite colours. Great shots of the steed and a great intro. You will fit nicely into this asylum. Listen to that engine as there is nothing like a triple to talk to you and the attitude it has is second to none.
    Regards & Enjoy
