    Hello all,

I'm new to street riding. Been riding off road for quite some time and always wanted to get a street bike. I was presented an opportunity to purchase and 2009 Street Triple R at a price I couldn't pass up.

I'm loving the bike and can't wait to get in some longer rides.

Welcome to the family. Your bike is a peach. Got that saying from Sandi T. And if you want touring read her blog she is one of the fairer hero's here in the asylum and boy can she write a story. The triple has it talked to you yet as I swear they are trying to speak a language only a biker would know. How is the grin factor right now. If it starts to hurt see nursey as she and Triumph are working on a cure.
    Ride Safe & Enjoy
    Joe.

Hello, Stephen, and welcome to a terrific forum! And welcome to the wonderful world of road bikes, triples, and Triumph. :)

That's a beautiful bike you've got there and a fantastic background to highlight it! Where is that? I'm a reasonably close neighbor of yours as I live in Arizona. I haven't yet ridden in Utah yet but am itching to go. Is this photo taken near where you live? If so, it looks like you live in a beautiful place!

What a beautiful area! I just did a little Googling. Is 89 a good riding road if we were to plan a trip up in the direction coming from the south?? How late in the year is it feasible to ride in that part of Utah? It looks like it's about 750-800 miles from Tucson depending on the route.

Highway 89 is a beautiful ride, however, if you want an epic ride you need to take highway 12 from Bryce Canyon NP to Capitol Reef NP. Absolutely amazing ride!! I did it years ago, and am going again this next year. Here’s a short clip, and a very small taste of what to expect...

Hopefully this link works. Last one linked the wrong video.

OMG! Holy cow! :grinning: Ok, I think Highway 12 in Utah has moved to the top of the MC trip list (and I didn't even know it was available to be on the list) for next year's big adventure. Thank you tons, MTBskier, for sharing this video of this spectacular road. :kissing_heart:
