Well I did it! Thanks for all the advice guys. Coldest ride of my life back from Newark! Now the proud owner of a 2005 speed triple 1050!

I want to buy some decent mirrors thinking bar end. Anyone know of any deals or discounts for parts?

I've heard that some are folding too.

If I buy the bar end mirrors will I have to buy bar end weights or do they come with?

    Pete

Hey Pete, well done Shropshire Lad. Buy sized to fit circumference of your bars (pretty much all standard) and your bar end sliders should still fit okay.

Welcome buddy and congratulations on your purchase. Enjoy your ride :)

Barend mirrors. ...look into 3pistons. They are of good quality at an affordable price ;)

You can buy slim bar end weights for Renthals, and then mirrors with appropriate narrower aperture fittings. I bet Auntie Google will know where to get 'em. I've seen Renthals with those mirrors that can be adjusted to drop underneath.

I believe the 3piston comes with it but I am not sure if you can call it a barend weight

As Rich said above. ...you should be able to get them separately

The mirrors come with different packers so that you can fit them over some bar ends, if your bar ends are too big then you just replace them with the supplied direct fitting kit :)
