    Hey all,

After 25 years of thinking about it, I finally got round to doing my test and got my full licence a few months ago. Ended up buying a black 2016 Street Twin as my first bike.

Looking forward to chatting with you all!

    Simon

I've added a flyscreen, center stand and (unfortunately) top box on since this picture. The topbox is only for whilst I'm commuting - I'll remove that at the earliest opportunity ;-)

Welcome to the family. Another black steed boy the inmates will have a great night tonight. Nursey will love it nice easy round as the nutters will be ogling the bikes. Seems to be a favourite colour on here. Don't show them the top box as you might start a riot and nursey will with hold your meds. 25 years mate you don't know what you been missing.
    Ride Safe & Enjoy
    Joe.

What a fantastic welcome from you all - really nice so thank you all.

I've started looking for alternative options to the 'top box' so hopefully I'll be able to clear my name soon and be able to post more pictures without having to blur bits out!!! ;-)

Thanks Dartplayer - Which part of NZ are you from? We lived in Christchurch for a short while (before the earthquake) and absolutely loved it. I've just watched the NZ episode of the Henry Cole's World Greatest Motorcycle Rides series that he did and I'm thinking I missed a great opportunity whilst I was down that way.

I did say that ;-) I was never keen on getting a box from the start but it was the only way I could carry work equipment safely enough. Would really like some smallish panniers which (if the right ones) I think would complement the bike much more. However, having seen the costs involved with most of them, it's going to take a while to find the right ones that are in budget!

Yes I use saddle bags from time to time. Stick an ad on here see if something comes up in the wanted section. But you use your top box. Don't listen to me I am one of the nuttiest people here in the asylum. Just ask nursey.
    Ride Safe
    Joe.
