Hello everyone and glad to join your forum!

I bought a Speed Triple 955i 2005 earlier this year and have been facing some issues with the function of the speedometer. Sometimes when you start the bike all the lights, indicators etc. are working but the digital speedometer doesn't show speed. After couple of kilometres of driving it might start to work, or then not. Could it be just bad wiring, or has someone else had similar issues?

Also couple of times when I've been driving on rainy weather and faced a bump or cobblestone, bike has shut down the engine but left the power (lights etc.) on. Luckily this has not happened in a turn o_O Any idea if this is some common issue as well?

Hi and welcome to the forum. There are more technically knowledgeble people on here than me but if you're getting a problem after hitting a bump it sounds like some sort of loose connection.

Hi 007kalle and welcome to the forum  many Speedo runs off the wheel, so could be sensor positioning. Best of luck sorting your issues, try posting under the specific model in the technical thread :p

I would certainly lift up the tank and reseat every connection that you can see and anything else you can see.
If the engine shuts down I would suspect it’s an ignition problem or injection issue?
    Welcome in btw!

Thank you! This is something to do on a Christmas holiday :) I've faced the shutdown issue mostly on rainy weather. Strange thing is that it starts just normally from the starter right after shutting down.

Hi, I have no idea what might be causing your bike to die. Even though the lights stay on it doesn't rule out an electrical issue.

Happy New Year everyone! Had a change to take a better look into the electrics of my bike. All the relays were hanging loose underneath the seat, right next to the mud cover (or what is the plastic cover called). I highly suspect that these relays have been exposed for water.
