    Hi,
    Just to say hello before I start trawling the forum ! I used to ride a Honda CBR1000 but wrote it off on a roundabout a little while ago. I am coming back to riding with the torque monster that is the Rocket III roadster. I shall become one of those people that made me grumpy as a younger man - the fair weather biker ! I split my time between England and France, and, keeping the bike on UK plates and registered in the UK hope to spend a little time riding it on looooong French roads too !

    I'm in Ile de France, half an hour south of Paris. Living and working here to four the last 7 years, but still addressed in the UK!

    Well done for 16 years!!!

    So Andy, has the Rocket arrived yet ?? Bet you can't wait !!!!

    Just a quick thought mate, IF you were to put her onto French plates, there would be no road tax or annual MOT's to pay for.

    Over here no Contrôle Technique (MOT) on bikes EVER !!!!

    Is still in the UK! I have to get rid of my old Jag first before the Rocket is allowed house room!!! It sounds like I will have to have it de-tuned though reading through some other posts... If I put it on French plates...

    By the way... I drive past Chateauroux on almost a monthly basis... I have a house in Charente Maritime. Maybe on the way south in the summer we could share a beer :)

    Hi Andy,Chateauroux is only about 45kmsnorth west of me,so let me know your next time and we'll get together OK?

    Re registering the Rocket and de-tuning,you shouldn't need to as the rule for French registration and bike power limits has gone since 01/01/2017.
