Hi All tried the search function but didn't help really, but can see quite a few have fitted heated grips, which is considered best for 2014 Speedtriple. i have looked at Oxford ones and guess, get the ones for sports bikes. Any advice gratefully received. Gavin
Had oxford sport on my last bike, loved them, don't listen to that pair of southern jessies !!! Knock them on for a cool morning, so no need for two pair of gloves, when you know it's going to warm up. Great bit of kit. Coldest days, grips on full with good pair of winter gloves and my hands were toasty as a toasty thing. Will definitely get another pair of Oxford sports when I get a 'normal' bike. (without 1" bars) Only downside - when used with goretex gloves, it stops them being waterproof ! Bugger. But that applies to all goretex glove with any heated grip.
I use Oxford sports heated grips with RST battery powered heated gloves (heats the outside of your hands). All good
Keis heated inner gloves and a larger size pair of standard gloves - keeps your whole hand at the same warm temperature.
I have found that running the heated vest (type used by snowmobile riders) forces enough heat to my hands that I don't need heated grips. This also allows me to wear a lighter jacket with body armor. Though I live in the desert believe me it gets well below freezing here and in the mountains up North. Anyone gone the heated vest route?

Maybe I'm talking crap but I think it has something to do with water droplets cant get through the goretex, but water vapour can, so they can breathe and sweat can escape.. heated grips turns more water into vapour.. or something along those lines. As mentioned my gortex failed n it could have been manufacturing fault. ...who knows
Gore_tex works by tiny holes, heat transfer and magic. If it's warmer one side of the gore_tex than the other, the moisture travels from hot to cold, so they are breathable. If your grips are hotter than you hands, moisture therefore travels in!!!! Waterproof is easy, put rubber gloves on, but the trick by gore_tex is the breathable bit.

Triumphs own heated grips are very good. Used in conjunction with hand guards, heated grips and 3 season gloves can be very effective. Quite a lot of the cold felt in the fingers/on the back of the hands is wind chill. Remove the chilling effect, job jobbed. In my experience anyway. Good luck with a solution. This has got me thinking... Anyone know if heated grips can be fitted to bikes with bar end mirrors? I have a 2015 94R. I like warm hands, but I think I like my bar end mirrors better... if that means I'm a three season rider, so be it. Bob
Just to pick up, and its not aimed at any one person. Can you describe your bike accurately. especially when they use ST or there derivatives. Does it mean Speed Triple, Street Triple or Sprint ST. same for STR is that Speed Triple or Street Triple R. Striple is another, it can get confusing. Let alone if someone says they have a Daytona! Yes Sir, would that be a 600, 650 ,675, 750, 900, 955, 1000or 1200. Sorry to go off on a tangent.
