im all ready planning for winter riding, and thinking of some hand guards to keep cold winds away. Anyone got them fitted, they got to be good quality and look right.
Same here prepping for the winter months. Just installed Oxford heated grips and bought a pair of gortex revit gloves that works with heated grips. I am interested to find out about the hand guards
one of the members on here was looking for some, but as he has bar end mirrors fitted he hasn't had any luck finding any to fit
I'm not sure if this would work..... http://m.dhgate.com/product/motorcycle-motocross-dual-road-dual-sport/379137990.html#pd-112
I fitted KTM hand guards to by my Tiger 1050 and Multistrada 1100. They are fairly flexible and with gentle heating with a hot air gun, can be made to fit the shape of most bars. However I rode through last winter without them on my Speedy with no problems. I have the additional visor fitted to my flyscreen, which seems to deflect the air around the end of the bars. http://www.ktm4u.co.uk/ktm-powerparts/off-road/handlebar-instruments/hand-guards-wrap-round However ther is no guarantee they will fit a Speed Triple. I was thinking about getting a fly screen glass but not so sure about drilling into the fairing :-(. Knowing me I would make a right mess of it!!.
If you take off the flyscreen, there are reference marks on the back where to drill. I have used mine over the summer with it removed, just put it back on yesterday.
