Hi all anyone had any use of a GoPro using triumph connectivity I was wondering as there is a mode for the GoPro is it entirely for this brand or will it work with similar type cameras if not is there a certain age of model such as hero 4 or 5 or so on or does it work through the GoPro app and doesn't connect directly to the GoPro via Bluetooth but through the app through your phone then to the bikes module yes I'm confusing myself but I think you get the idea if it works through the app I should imagine the camera age isn't as important as it connecting to the app any thoughts please before I waste some more money
The Triumph Connectivity module is designed to work with the Go Pro, depending on the year of machine, this dictates what models of Go Pro are compatible, a 2020 for example is suitable for the Hero 7 series, all you need do is pair it and use the joystick to scroll quickly until Go Pro is displayed, then just press the joystick and it automatically connects and starts recording, you can stop/start as you want to, all done on the move safely as you only need a very brief look. The navigation pairs with your phone, again different years dictate the phone make/model, but once paired works via the TFT dash for turn by turn navigation. The module is not compatible with other makes of camera, it was designed in collaboration with Triumph and Go Pro.
Thanks for the information I guessed it would be something like that so going on the year of my bike I would probably need a nine or ten but the second hand market for even 3 and four is around a 100 quid so I am not willing to part with that sort of money for occasional or next to no use the Mrs bought me quite a good helmet camera a couple of years ago if I need to film my trip or going somewhere else where the drivers don't have a very good reputation I'll just make do I mean with all the functions already on the TFT I don't need something else to distract me I've bought a couple of Bluetooth headsets for a couple of my helmets for a bit of background music which I never bothered with before but with the Tiger being a lot more relaxed of a ride to the firestorm and other sports bike I've owned in the past I thought why not plus if I get distracted playing with the screen and have a spill at least I can phone for help
