Went for a practice run roon the day. Did a couple of bits I'm unfamiliar with, for the Sunday run into Englandshire.

Dodged showers all morning, until 10 miles from home.

200 miles before back home for lunch.

No, that's the Saturday run. This was near Middleton-un-Teesdale. Never been up here, absolute belter of a road.

Just wanted to be confident of the route. A66 is not brilliant, but really didn't take long to run up it. Also one of the junction after Middleton-in-Teesdale towards Brough would be an easy miss, so know to highlight on the day.

Lot of folk, making a lot of effort, to come a long way for this wee shindig in July , so want to make it the best i can.

When I was involved in the running of the SV650 Scottish gathering, we always had a weekend away to test ride, make sure it was OK and make mistakes without 30+ bikes following us up a farm track !!!!

Bloody hell. Not been there for years. Great track. One of my two favourites the other being Brands Hatch.

Any of you guys ever tried the old Nürburgring (not the new F1-part)?
    It is great fun...
...if you don't run into too many Japanese tour-buses (no kidding) :)
If you are into gaming: Forza 3 has a pretty good version for practice runs; so you can learn every turn by heart before trying the real thing. Damn realistic, I have to admit.

Very impressed, quiet and comfy. Liked the drop down visor, very useful when going into shaded areas and back out.

Only thing I don't like is the visor doesn't allow you to open it just a wee bit, either an 1" or nowt. When making progress, find the visor can vibrate a bit, but that only really happens at 70+ ish. Not a problem if taking it steady, but if wanting to crack on, had to close the visor, which got a tad warm. Most of the time using my Arai, I had it cracked open 1/4". Either live with it , or will work out a solution!!!!
