Almost exactly a year since starting, although it's been in the queue for a bit longer than that. The last MOT was dated 1983 and it's been sat in a lean-to since then. Almost there, still waiting for a few bits to get it running but the first spark in 40 years was seen yesterday.
Wow, @Iron! You are truly a moto builder wizard. I love how this bike turned out. The before and after photos are amazing. Thanks for posting the pics and update here. More photos please and let us know how it rides!
belt drive? or do you just not have the caps in? what is your opinion of the open TT pipes? i have a pair to experiment with sitting on the bench right now
Caps not in yet, still waiting for the postman. Primary chain works well for me so I've never tried a belt. I like the TT pipes but they do make the arse end look like there's something missing. Wider wheels and tyres should help there though. They hooliganise the 140 engine but I'm no top speed merchant these days, especially around this neck of the woods with all the cameras and plain clothed plod trying to use me as a cash cow.
IRON: Very nice work. Funny how these things take way longer to get around to than ever expected it would when someone parked it. You rescued it from "rot & ruin". ...J.D.
Thanks @Wire-Wheels all done now, put TT100s on it rather than the Avons just a shake down to do, then probably off to market
