Gear Shifter Adjustment

    If you do this, the only other way to adjust the height is to move the arm to your correct height, but then of course the dots will no longer line up..
    Your choice really but if was me, i'd do the rod adjustment (which has worked quite successfully for the 2 years) and leave the arm be.

    Ya I don't plan on touching the arm. I think I'm going to set it to the measurement in the service manual and leave it.

    It ends up the rod was very close to being 146.7mm after lengthening it to lower the gear shift lever yesterday. So I set it to the 146.7mm, and the lever is in a comfortable position. Previously the lever was almost level to the foot peg, meaning the rod was nowhere close to the 146.7mm the service manual states.
