Tiger Explorer Gear Box

Can any one tell me why the gear box on the 800 is so smooth and the 1200 is so clunky also the throttle is so smooth were the 1200 is so jerky

 

Never ridden a 1200 so can't help, tho the 800 is smooth!

 

I've just fitted a booster plug and the gear change is so much smoother it's like night and day throttle response also not so snatchy
