Dunno if it's an urban myth or not but the Friday before last I was given a flu jab because of my heart condition Have heard that this can cause flu symptoms ???? By Thursday I was feeling a bit fuzzy and under the weather...Friday was even worse Got up Saturday feeling absolutely poleaxed/knocked sideways with full on man flu Have been laid up four days now...even my eyeballs hurt...coughing and barking and aching all over Getting no sympathy at home wife says I need a can of man up Son just takes the piss
Had mine too, so far so good no symptoms like this at all, regardless of what that DD has to say, I'm agreeing with your missus on this one marra Man up , or its probably more like your missing getting out on your BPOS
Yep stick to JD marra, that'll help build up a resistance to owt (EVEN POSTING GOOD LINKS, - DD DRINKS IT TO )
I'm also an asthmatic and being serious for once(which is hard work with DD aboot) I had a bad reaction to it 2 years ago, so much so three lots of antibiotics didnt sort a chest infection out, it needed a visit to hospital, So its fingers crossed as only had the flu jab about 9 days ago and they reckon it takes a good few weeks to get into your system and take effect
Brilliant Jez....brilliant Showed wor lass and both of us laughing out loud She's on her iPad placing orders now so hopefully I'll soon be on the road to recovery
First time i had a flu jab I felt unwell for a few days afterwards. Been okay with subsequent ones (I think I'm on my 6th now) and this time I got a pneumonia jab as well, coz I'm reet tuff and can take their poxy little needles!!
The flu jab doesn’t cover every strain of the flu that might be going about just the most likely one as it’s not the same each year. As to getting flu like symptoms you've just been jabbed with a weaker version of it so it’s possible you will get mild flu like symptoms due to that. I’ve had to get the flu jab previously for occupational reasons never really had any symptoms following it. Been getting it for years so it’s pot luck as to how you react to it. Some people are more susceptible to getting them than others. Yes I have had it this year as well.
You've missed the R of the front of EAR mate, simple mistake for a dyslexic still no sympathy though.
[QUOTE="Dozers Dad, post: 146716, member: 3042" PS.... I have a really painful ear infection lads. Any chance of a bit of sympathy please? [/QUOTE] Here's my offering
Man flu is terrible, women don't understand 'cos they can't get it, they get bird flu which is nowhere near as bad, when they give you the flu jab, I had it a few weeks back, they inject an empty shell of the virus with the harmful stuff removed so your body immune system will make antibodies if you get the real thing. It's probably your body doing just that, reacting to the injected stuff.
